Third Thursday Art Nights

Third Thursday — the monthly evening of art in Athens, Georgia — is scheduled for Thursday, November 19 , 6 - 7:30 pm

All exhibitions are free and open to the public.  It is recommended that you contact a venue in advance to confirm their current status, especially in light of the potential for changing circumstances during COVID-19. Venues participating in Third Thursday evening of art are CIne, TinyAth, Lyndon House Arts Center, ATHICA, Georgia Museum of Art, Classic Center.

The Lyndon House Arts Center is pleased to announce 3rd Thursday. The galleries will be open once a month on the third Thursday of the fall months. On November 19th, from 6 – 7:30 pm, artists Kendall Rogers, Andrew Zawacki and Derek Faust, will be holding gallery talks with Arts Center Curator, Beth Sale.

Kendall Rogers is the recent recipient of the 2020 Art Center Choice Award from the 45th Juried Exhibition. This award includes a solo exhibition opportunity in the Lounge Gallery. Kendall will be talking about her figure and text based paintings.  Derek Faust, a sculptor in the exhibition Boundless, will speak about his mix media works and Andrew Zawacki will be reading poetry and discussing his accompanied photography project.
