The Oconee Rivers Greenway Trail Network provides a safe alternative transportation corridor for pedestrians and bicyclists to safely commute and recreate away from high speed traffic. This trail system includes miles of multi-use trails that are designated for non-motorized use as well as natural surface hiking-only trails. The trail system is the active transportation component of the Greenway Corridor. This corridor is a linear park system that provides wildlife corridors, a wetland hiking trail, and a family friendly multi-use path for the public's enjoyment.
The Oconee Rivers Greenway System of trails and wildlife corridors is maintained and operated by the Trails and Open Space staff of the Leisure Services Department.
