The Multimodal Center was retrofitted with solar capacities in 2012. This facility is a transfer spot for Athens-Clarke County Transit buses and University of Georgia buses. It is located behind the Georgia Center and also features an information center to help assist in route-planning. The Multimodal Center helps Athens-Clarke County to embrace and adapt to emerging forms of transportation.
