Project Details
Project 01 will include the design and construction of capital improvement projects at the Athens-Ben Epps Airport as listed in the Airport's Capital Improvement Plan, as may be amended from time to time. This funding may be used to match funding for state and/or federal grants for these projects. The projects generally include Runway/Taxiway Reconstruction/ Rehabilitation/ Improvements, Apron Paving, Terminal Improvements, new parking, storm drainage associate with paving, and other preventive maintenance, reconstruction, and rehabilitation activities for airport pavement. Potential matching funds from GDOT of $24 million dollars and from FAA of $5.5 million.
