Artist Christopher Charette is a student at the University of Georgia. His colorful abstract design incorporates a mandala, which typically has an identifiable center point with an array of symbols and shapes radiating from here. The mandala can represent the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality.
When looking at Chris' hydrant design, you may also notice blue circles floating about. An observer may see these as a representation of water bubbles, reminding us that the water within the hydrant is a part of us outside the hydrant. Or you may just see circles. Either way, you can be the judge by visiting Chris' hydrant at the corner of Clayton St. & N. Hull St. in front of Five Bar.
