National Citizen Survey

Updated 5.25.18: The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government has contracted with the National Research Center to administer the National Citizen Survey (NCS) for the second time since 2016 to gauge Athens residents' opinions on issues and services in the community.

The survey was sent to 1,800 randomly-selected Athens-Clarke County households in April through the mail. Residents who received the survey are encouraged to fill it out and return it to the National Research Center in the included self-addressed, stamped envelope.

For those who did not receive a mailed survey, they may participate in an online opt-in survey linked below through June 4.

In January 2016, the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County sent a National Citizen Survey (NCS) to 1,800 randomly selected residents throughout Athens-Clarke County. The NCS surveyed their opinions about three pillars of a community and across eight facets of a community and compared the results to other communities’ responses. A representative sample of 364 residents throughout the community returned the survey or filled it out online.
