ACC Court Ordered Community Service

Court-ordered community service hours may be completed within
some facilities of the Leisure Services Department.

Below is a list of requirements and instructions on how to get started.

Requirements for Community Service Workers
  • Must be Athens-Clarke County court ordered
    • Due to ACC regulations, we do NOT accept community service workers from any other county.
  • Location must be pre-assigned by your probation officer before you begin service
How to get started
  • Visit/call your probation officer
  • Tell them you would like to be assigned to the location of your choice
  • The probation officer will set you up in the computer and give you further instructions
  • To begin community service, you must be assigned by your Athens-Clarke County probation officer

Please note: Individuals who have been convicted of or charged with any crime involving or relating to child abuse or neglect, child pornography, child abduction, or any other violent offense, including kidnapping, rape or any sexual offense, or who have ever been ordered by a court to receive psychiatric or psychological treatment in connection with such crime or crimes are NOT permitted to register at these facilities.
