Grease Recycling
Residential quantities of cooking grease (oil) are accepted for recycling at the following locations (containers pictured to the right). Click on location for hours:
- ACC CHaRM, 1005 College Ave
- ACC Landfill, 5700 Lexington Road
- North Oconee Water Reclamation Facility, 150 North Oconee Access Road
- Middle Oconee Water Reclamation Facility, 400 Will Hunter Road
Why is it important to recycle your used cooking grease/oil?
Grease hardens and clogs pipes, which costs you money! Doctors warn how too much cholesterol in your diet can clog your arteries. That same phenomenon can wreak havoc in your sewer pipes (see below)!!
Remember to cook, scrape, pour and recycle!
