Responsibilities

The Athens-Clarke County Landscape Management Division provides landscaping services to public buildings, parks, and rights of way in Athens-Clarke County. It is their responsibility to mow all public rights of way in the county, except for those on state roads.

The division maintains the landscaping of all Athens-Clarke County athletic fields and most of the recreational parks, such as Bishop Park, in the county. Additionally, Landscape Management takes care of about 95 percent of the grounds of public buildings in Athens-Clarke County, most notably the downtown areas.
