Summer 2023 Program Funding

Athens-Clarke County is currently soliciting for proposals to expand youth development and violence prevention programming in summer 2023. A total of $500,000 will be available to non-profits for use in expanding existing youth programs, and may be awarded, in varying amounts, to multiple agencies.

Goals

  • Expand existing youth development and violence prevention programming serving ACC youth under 18 years of age during summer 2023 (May 25, 2023 - August 1, 2023). A definition of "expansion" is detailed in the request for proposals (RFP) document.
  • Focus on at least one of the eligible activities described in the RFP.
  • Prioritize youth development programming that serves youth ages 12-17 years of age whose primary residence is in a Qualified Census Tract and/or the Gaines, Alps, and Howard B Stroud elementary zones.
  • Prioritize proposals that are collaborations between at least two but no more than 3 providers.
